Champion Hamp Boar at Sweetwater

HH is pleased to partner with Wintex Farms & DL Showpigs in the purchased of Coon. Bred by Jerry McLemore and sired by Model T, a Leverage son, and his littermate was the popular $31,000 Champion at the SWTC. Many folks agree, Coon was definitely the ‘buy’ of the Winter and some might say he was the best in his litter!

Moose – (The Judge X The Natural) Purchased from John Graber at the ’07 National Barrow Show

Moose’s first crop of pigs exceeded expectations. He sired the Champion Hampshire Barrow at the Wisconsin State Fair in the first litter farrowed here. At the SE Regional recently held in Georgia, the Class 3 winner in the gilt show was sired by Moose. This boar has done a fantastic job of siring consistent, problem-free hogs that have competed and won at the highest level.

Leverage - $50,000 Champion Weanling Pig ’06 Fall Classic Purchased from Mike Watson with Jerry McLemore, Wintex Farms, Jerry Masters & Steve Malcom.

Leverage progeny are making their mark on the Hampshire breed. The daughters we retained have shown great ability to raise pigs. We recently purchased the $10,000 Champion Gilt at the Fall Classic from Wintex and she was sired by Leverage. In addition, Model T–a Leverage son–is creating a stir at Jerry McLemore’s in Oklahoma.

Uprising’s mother was purchased from Wintex at the ’06 Fall Classic. She is leaving her mark on our herd, even as her story gets better with each season. Her littermate was retained by Wintex and in 2 litters she produced the Reserve Grand barrow at Houston and the $10,000 Champion Gilt at ’08 Fall Classic – not to mention their new herd boar, Square One. In our herd, Uprising’s littermate sister and his ½ sister are quickly becoming 2 of our best young sows.

In one of our first Uprising litters farrowed, he produced the Reserve Hamp at Denver and we hope this is just the beginning. We truly believe this boar can produce Champion market hogs – purebred Hampshire market hogs that will compete anywhere. For semen, call Real McCoy at 740-4737-7478.
