Leverage - $50,000 Champion Weanling Pig ’06 Fall Classic Purchased from Mike Watson with Jerry McLemore, Wintex Farms, Jerry Masters & Steve Malcom.

The first crop of pigs sired by this boar hit the ground this summer and they have exceeded expectations. We look forward to possibility of exhibiting a boar at the SWTC and we have a great set of gilts to retain. This boar will impact the Hampshire breed.

Moose – (The Judge X The Natural) Purchased from John Graber at the ’07 National Barrow Show

The first pigs sired by Moose have hit the ground and we’re excited! We still feel like we stole this boar at Austin. This boar is extremely flexible, very heavy structured, well balanced and yet maintains plenty of muscle and dimension. Moose is now standing at Southern Advantage Sires in Georgia, (229) 377-1263

Roundtrip - (Detonator x Show Bone)
$24,000 Champion York Boar, '07 NBS
Purchased from Kent McLemore with Jerry McLemore.
Semen: $200/dose

In our opinion, Roundtrip is one of the best York boars to hit the show ring in the past 2-3 years. He was named Champion at Austin with relative ease and the phone hasn’t stopped ringing since he returned to Oklahoma. Speaking of Oklahoma, this boar did take a roundtrip from Ninnekah to Austin and back again, and that has certainly raised plenty of eyebrows and stirred up the gossip columns. Face facts with facts: the boar was shown and sold, and we were lucky enough to hold the winning bid.
Perhaps we should’ve named him Fundamental, because without a doubt, he has them all covered. The trendy thing to talk about these days is bone, structure, foot size, etc. and Roundtrip is all of that and more. More importantly, he does all of that with an extremely balanced skeleton and a super correct hip. He takes a huge comfortable stride off both ends with unmatched reach. He has the right look and muscle pattern to make Champion barrows and gilts, yet his biggest value may be in the daughters he produces. The folks interested in making better hogs are calling and breeding sows. We’re doing the same. Everyone else is just talking about it. Limited amount of semen available, so don’t miss out!
Standby (Detonator x Show Bone)
Semen: $100/dose

Standby is the littermate to Roundtrip that didn’t get shown. Is he better than the Champion? NO! Are there many similarities to the Champion? YES! Standby has the same balance and design, the same correct hip, plenty of muscle and is super good on the move. A true breeding hog man will tell you the only way to determine which boar is better is by evaluating their offspring. We’ll let you know. Limited amount of semen available.

McCoy Hampshire Boar
Black Oak x Dirty Sanchez

Our intentions were to exhibit this boar at the Fall Classic in Duncan, however a skin breakout on his top, and some swelling in his glands/lymph nodes kept him out of the showring. We weren’t comfortable showing this boar until we were 100% sure he was healed, however, he looked too good not to make the trip to Duncan so a few people could see him. After several folks saw the boar, we were very pleased that the McCoy’s were interested in housing him at Real McCoy Genetics in Ohio where he could be used as a sire in the Hampshire Breed. We’re excited about his acceptance to those who’ve had the chance to see him and we look forward to his first litters in April. Call Real McCoy at 740-4737-7478.

This sow was purchased from Wintex at the ’06 Fall Classic. She was scratched from the show due to injury, however, we felt she was easily one of the best gilts in the barn last year. Her first litter didn’t disappoint with this boar and 2 gilts retained. Her September litter sired by After Darque is very deep with a very exciting herd boar prospect and 3 awesome gilts. This sow is quickly becoming a foundation female in our Hampshire herd.

Fancy Pants
Champion Cross Gilt, '06 Crossbred Classic - Indiana State Fair
Purchased from Gary Childs

This sow exemplifies the type of female needed in today’s industry. Her structure is impeccable, which is easy to see when she takes a comfortable, fluid stride off both ends. Her overall balance, design and build should be standard, but it’s too difficult to attain, and perhaps that’s why she’s special. Her attitude is great and it is becoming fact that her generating power will exceed our expectations.

In her first litter she produced the Reserve Grand Overall at Missouri (850+ shown) and all 3 daughters were retained. This litter, sired by Tap Out, was extremely consistent. All gilts in her September litter of Fatal Attraction's were retained and we look forward to her upcoming 2008 litter sired by Unbelievable.

Top Selling Hampshire Gilt, ’07 National Barrow Show Purchased from Drake Purebreds

We were very excited to have the opportunity to own this great Hampshire female. Her future looks very bright.
